1. Case inputs — provide only the files available

Form 3CD reference: section 269SS loan/deposit reporting is Clause 31(a); section 269T repayment reporting is Clause 31(c). The tool uses ledgers in the master group Unsecured Loans and its child groups. It resolves the actual hierarchy from a full Tally master; compact masters support conventional child names beginning with “Unsecured Loans”. Bank names and common bank abbreviations are excluded automatically. Check the 269 Scope report; add any other bank lender here and rebuild. A payment through your own bank account does not exclude a non-bank lender.

Provide Day Book + Master for 269 reports, Trial Balance for Clause 18, or all three. No file is compulsory unless its related report needs it.

Clause 18 — Fixed assets and depreciation

Select the Trial Balance in the common case-input area. It can be processed alone or attached automatically when Day Book and Master are processed with it. Group totals are not counted again as assets.

Tax block assignments are suggestions until confirmed. Opening tax WDV must come from the prior tax depreciation schedule; book balances are shown separately. Classify every debit/credit and split aggregate trial-balance movements into actual dated transactions. A credit to an asset is not automatically a disposal.

1. Confirm asset classification
2. Tax block inputs

Enter zero explicitly when opening tax WDV is nil. Review confirms rates, ownership/use, adjustments, eligibility under the selected tax regime and any additional depreciation. CA adjustments are restricted to applicable transition years. Normal WDV depreciation is computed; power-sector SLM and other special methods require a separate computation.

3. Additions, disposals, book depreciation and adjustments

Tax cost is the amount before ITC/CENVAT, forex and grant adjustments; use zero adjustments when already net. For disposals enter moneys payable including scrap separately from book credit. Enter first put-to-use date for additions; exactly 180 days qualifies for the full rate. Additional depreciation: 0 or 20%, only after verifying eligibility. Acquisition in a prior year is not automatically subject to the current-year half-rate restriction.

Report basis

Form 3CD Clause 31(a) / section 269SS: credits to scoped non-bank Unsecured Loans ledgers. Form 3CD Clause 31(c) / section 269T: debits to those ledgers. Annual activity totals include journal entries for review and do not establish statutory applicability. Official Form 3CD.

269ST shows cash receipts, tests identified persons per day at ₹2,00,000 or more, and marks matching transaction/event references where provided. It retains smaller receipts for cross-date review. Loan-related receipts and compound vouchers require separate classification; unavailable links are not treated as cleared. Review banking modes and statutory exceptions before filing. Generated reports cover Clause 18, 269SS, 269T, 269ST and their related schedules. Previews show at most 5,000 rows; Excel downloads contain all rows.
